Blach labrador service dog lays on stack of wooden boards

Whitt

This is Whitt, a one year and four month old black Labrador who will be trained as a service dog for Canine Companions. He is being fostered by Kelly Schwarze Goss and her family. She is the president of the Northern New England Volunteer Chapter but her husband, son, and daughter all volunteer as well and make a significant contribution to the Canine Companion’s organization. After all, they say “it takes a village to raise a child”, the same can be said for a service dog! His time with the Schwarze family is almost over, and very soon, he will go to the advanced training facility in Medford, New York. If you would like to raise a puppy and change someone’s life, go to Canine Companions or contact Kelly Schwarze Goss at [email protected]!
