Service Dog Cookies

Cookie recipe: (for “spread” preventing, cut-out cookies, other dough/flavors may work)

Dog Cookie Cutter: I bought an Ann Clark Cookie Cutters Labrador Dog Cookie Cutter, 4.4” $6.99 on Amazon

Ingredients:
1 cup softened butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
Baking Instructions:
preheat oven to 375*F
mix butter until pale yellow
add sugar and beat until light and fluffy
beat in eggs and vanilla
in a separate bowl, mix flour, baking godsend salt, gradually combine dry ingredients
chill dough for two hours
roll dough 1/4” thick
bake on un-greased cookie sheet for 9-10min

Vest:
use blue fondant (or color of choice)
roll it out 1/16” thick
use the cookie cutter to cut out a dog shape
then cut the hind leg/butt, front leg and head off to form the vest
then dab some frosting on the dog cookie to glue the vest on
Baking Instructions:
-In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
-In a small bowl, whisk milk and peanut butter until smooth.
-Make a well in the flour mixture and gradually add the peanut butter until well blended.
-Use hands to work the dough into a pliable ball.
-With a rolling pin, roll the dough out to 1/4” thickness.
-Cut with cookie cutter and place on baking sheet.
-Bake for 15 minutes.
-Let them cool on a rack!
