Strength in Service
Artist: Jennifer Wentworth
Medium: Watercolor
ABOUT THE PIECE
(from the artist) This watercolor painting captures the gentle strength and loyalty of a service dog, a reminder of the life-changing role these animals play every day. Service Dogs NH's work is not only about teaching skills, it’s about fostering independence, confidence, and companionship for the people they serve.
This cause is deeply personal to me, as I have a close family member who is wheelchair-bound. I’ve seen firsthand how the presence of a service dog can bring both practical help and profound emotional comfort. These dogs fill a unique space in our hearts and lives, bridging the gap between limitation and possibility, offering both partnership and unconditional love. I hope this image serves as a thoughtful reflection of the incredible bond between service dogs and their handlers, and as a celebration of the amazing work Service Dogs NH continues to do for our community.
